摘要	本文采用问卷调查的方法对中国被试对说谎行为、谎言识别的信念及其群体差异进行了探索性研究。研究结果表明:法律工作者、学生群体对说谎者行为和谎言识别的信念与其他群体存在显著差异;中国被试对说谎行为的认识存在显著的性别偏见、年龄偏见、文化偏见和亲疏偏见;中国被试对说谎频率的报告相对比较保守,对自己的谎言识别能力的估计相对来说比较一致客观,而对他人谎言识别能力的估计则很不一致。; Inspired by Bond＇s research work on the word-wide stereotypes of liars,the researchers use the questionnaire developed by him and colleagues to probe for the Chinese people＇s stereotype of liars＇ lying behavior and the cues they use to detect deception.The researchers also investigated the stereotypical characteristics of liars and their estimation of their ability to detect other＇s lies and other＇s ability to detect their own lies.The responses of the participants were coded and analyzed to test the hypotheses.The results suggested that professionals whose job are closely related to lie detection hold significant different beliefs about lying behavior and cues to lie detection compared to laypersons and they are less dependent on the stereotypes of liars to detect deception,while the students are much dependent on the stereotypic characteristics of liars to detect deception.Besides,the results showed that Chinese tend to think that men are more likely to lie than women,adults are more likely to lie than children,Chinese are more likely to lie than foreigners and acquaintances（including friends and family members） are more likely to lie than strangers.The researches give several explanations of the results based on previous theoretical and applied research on lying and lie detection.Limitations of the present research and directions for future are discussed.
