Abstract The research is to explore the relationship between adolescent’s social value orientation, social axiom and pro-social behavior. Economic game paradigms were used to explore the development of adolescents’ pro-social behaviors. 232 middle school students, at the age of 10 to 16,including 78 cases of 7-th grade students,79 cases of 8-th grade students, 75 cases of 9-th grade students, were examined by means of questionnaire about their social value orientation, social axiom and pro-social behavior. Adolescents’ social attitude was measured by Social Axioms Survey (SAS),exploring the tendency of different values.. Individual difference of social axiom was evaluated by Social Axiom Scale (SAS). Classical Dictator Game (DG) and Ultimatum Game (UG) were used to measure middle school students’ fairness. Moreover, their trust behavior and cooperative behavior were examined by Trust Game (TG) and Prisoner’s Dilemma Game (PDG). The correlation analysis among social attitude, social axiom and pro-social behavior were conducted. Results as followed: (1) The majority of adolescents were equipped with competition social value orientation., However, with the grades increasing, the proportion of adolescents’ non-individual pro-social social attitude was increasing. (2)With the grades increasing, the distribution in DG has decreased significantly, while the proportion of unfair distribution to others increased significantly in Mini UG. With the grades increasing, adolescents’ trust in others was gradually reducing. The difference between three grades in the cooperative behavior in the prisoner's dilemma was not significant; most of the adolescents did not choose to cooperate, showing concern for personal interests. (3) With the grades increasing, the difference between adolescents’ "Social Cynicism and "Social Complexity" and "Religiosity" will increase significantly, but their social value on "Reward for Application "and "Fate Control" did not change significantly. (4)Social value orientation is correlated with Adolescents’ pro-social behavior, and there is not a significant correlation with fair and the cooperation behavior. (5) Adolescents’ pro-social behavior was correlated with the social axiom. Specifically, there was a significant correlation between social cynicism and unfair behavior; there was a significant correlation between the reward for application and the refuse to fair behavior; there was a significant correlation between the social complexity and cooperation behavior. Conclusion: the adolescents' pro-social behaviors are correlated with social value orientation and social axiom; adolescents' pro-social behavior changes with grades increasing.
